
American actor Thomas William Selleck. His breakout role was playing private detective Thomas Magnum in the television series Magnum, P.I. (1980-1988), for whom he was nominated five times for the Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead actor in the Drama Series. He won the award in 1985. Since the year 2010, Selleck has appeared in the role of New York City Police Commissioner Frank Reagan in the series Blue Bloods. In nine television films that are based on the Robert B. Parker novels in which he portrayed Jesse Stone, a troubled small-town police chiefwho began his career in the year 2005.
